Agree the base arrangements

Your building needs a suitable base. What is included depends on the range and your quotation, so confirm who is preparing or installing it before you book other work.

If you are supplying the base, it must be solid, level and at least the size of the building's footprint, with the final requirements agreed for your project. Allow at least 1ft around the base and completed building for installation, inspection and maintenance, together with the necessary roof clearance.

Tell us about known underground services and any difficult ground conditions. A ground screw solution still depends on site suitability; photographs alone cannot confirm what lies below the surface.

Prepare the site

Clear the work area and agreed access route. Keep children and pets away from the installation area and let us know about any obstacles or hazards.

Arrange for yourself or an authorised representative to be present. Confirm the exact building position with the team before installation begins; the building cannot be repositioned once installation has started.

If access or site conditions have changed since your order, tell us before the team travels.

Understand the electrical arrangements

Electrical work is carried out through qualified electrical contractors. Check your quotation for the internal electrical package and any separately agreed work.

Connection of the garden room to the main property electrical supply is not included unless expressly stated within the quotation. This work can be quoted separately if required, subject to a site survey and the requirements of our electrical contractor.

On installation day

Our building installation team works to your agreed design. Delivery and installation dates and times are estimates; weather, traffic, materials and site conditions can affect the schedule.

At completion, inspect the building with the team and point out any concerns so they can be recorded. Keep your order and care information for future reference.
