Garden Spa Rooms

Plan a garden spa space for the way you unwind

A place to change, sit quietly or rest between sessions can make a garden spa area easier to enjoy. Start with the equipment you want to use, then plan the building and outdoor space around it.

If your plans include a garden sauna or hot tub, talk to us before choosing a room. Moisture and equipment requirements affect what is suitable, and a standard garden room should not be assumed to be a ready-made spa enclosure.

Planning your room

Separate the relaxation space from the wet area

Noah does not recommend placing a hot tub or conventional sauna inside a standard garden room because of moisture. Discuss a separate hot tub area or a suitable combination design with us instead.

Our current guidance allows consideration of a self-contained infrared sauna where ventilation is properly managed. Share the exact model and its installation requirements so suitability can be checked for your project.

The room around the equipment matters too. Include space for changing and a seat, and consider the route between the house, the dry room and any outdoor spa area.

Choosing your range

Choose a range for the dry room

These ranges are starting points for an insulated changing or relaxation room. Their standard specifications do not make them wet rooms or establish suitability for every sauna.

Garden Rooms

Garden Rooms include PIR insulation, electrics and laminate flooring. Heating, air conditioning and partitions are optional, as are foundation supply and installation. Discuss the intended use before choosing a floor finish or equipment layout.

Signature Garden Rooms

Signature includes a metal SIP structure, electrics, laminate flooring and foundation supply and installation. The layout and available finishes are agreed around your brief. Spa equipment and specialist installations are separate unless expressly included in your quotation.

Give the equipment room to work

Obtain the manufacturer’s requirements before deciding on dimensions. Include access for installation, clearances for use and space for maintenance.

For an outdoor hot tub, share the filled weight and support requirements with whoever is designing its base. Do not assume the garden room’s floor or foundation is suitable for it.

If the equipment needs to be replaced later, consider how it will come out. A room that can only be finished around an item may create difficulties in the future.

Make privacy part of the layout

Think about where you will change and what is visible when the door opens. A window towards planting may offer a useful outlook while keeping the changing area away from direct views.

Plan a place for dry towels and clothing away from wet equipment. Keep enough space to move between areas without squeezing past furniture.

If your main aim is simply a quiet room for reading or yoga, Garden Retreats covers that kind of space.

Agree power, ventilation and water requirements

Send the equipment specifications with your brief so electrical demand and ventilation can be considered before the design is finalised. A room’s standard electrical package should not be treated as confirmation that it can supply a particular sauna or spa system.

Connection of the garden room to the main property electrical supply is not included unless expressly stated within the quotation. This work can be quoted separately if required, subject to a site survey and the requirements of our electrical contractor.

Do not assume plumbing or a shower is available as an addition to either dry-room package. Raise those requirements at the start so we can confirm what, if anything, can be offered and which work would be separate.

Common questions

Garden spa room questions

Can I put a hot tub inside a garden room?

We do not recommend it in a standard garden room because of moisture. Discuss a separate hot tub area or suitable combination design before choosing the building.

Can a garden room contain an infrared sauna?

A self-contained infrared sauna may be considered, subject to the equipment requirements and a suitable ventilation arrangement. Ask us to check the specific proposal before ordering.

Is the sauna or hot tub included?

Treat spa equipment, specialist installation and related site work as separate unless expressly itemised in your quotation.

Is the standard floor suitable for wet use?

Do not assume so. The included laminate finish on Garden Rooms and Signature does not establish suitability for a wet area. Discuss the intended use and required floor specification first.

Can I add a shower?

Raise that requirement before choosing a range. A shower is not part of the standard Garden Room or Signature package; feasibility and scope need confirming.
